Enter to Win THE DEN from TechDen! #TechDen
Technology is a wonderful part of our kids’ development. It allows us to educate our children in an interactive way, it helps us calm our young ones in the checkout line, it gives them a fun way to relax at the end of the day. It's amazing! But as with all things in life, with the good comes the bad. Are you struggling to find balance at home? Do you find yourself fighting with your kids over their devices waayyy too much? TechDen encourages conversation and cooperation between parents and kids, BUT best of all, it builds trust—a unique feature you will only find at TechDen!

About The Den + The App:

The Den is an elegant and intelligent solution to a number of parental frustrations. The Den charges and stores up to two iOS or Android devices, keeping all of those cords away and out of sight. It establishes a new mindset of unavailability and gives our devices a home of their own so your kids have a clear understanding that when it is time to set handheld devices aside, they are truly to be left alone! Out of sight = Out of Mind!
The app provides notifications and helps you set limits for multiple devices. Kids see schedules, receive notifications about their schedule, can request more time, and see progress toward goals.
My favorite features: The TechDen app pairs with The Den to create schedules, remotely lock and unlock the doors of The Den, AND receive notifications about device removal and time usage!

  1. The idea of controlling screen time changes rather quickly but the reason might be for something that shocks you. The entire plan begins on the first day of school, yet when they get home they roll a die and what ever number they wind up on is put under four cards (Only I know what four cards are under them) and whatever the number is add, subtract, multiply or automatic zero. From there the screen time is controlled as these dice are from an old magic kit. Each of the dice has 1 smile face meaning extra roll, a frown face which is zero, try again and numbers 1 - 4. Whatever number they roll they get that many dollars (from a monopoly game) and as they do their chores they get an amount but if they do anything wrong or want to watch tv / play video games they have to pay an amount per turn, per 30 min of tv, per 30 min with a friend, per phone call etc. computertech2you (at) live (dot) com
