Blazing HEEET Hot Cinnamon Vodka from MerryGo Spirits Review

I shared this on Instagram last week but wanted to say a little more about it...
As you've probably guessed from some of my prior posts, I like spicy foods, really spicy stuff, like the Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper tortilla chips. I recently ran across a vodka from MerryGo Spirits that was labeled as hot cinnamon flavored and I couldn't resist giving it a try.

If you like vodka, you've probably heard and perhaps tried about all sorts of infused flavors available. Typically they're fruity like cherry, melon, or lemons. I've also seen cucumber, coconut, and coffee/espresso flavors even. While I do like cucumbers, I have no interest in trying vodka flavored like it. What MerryGo Spirits offers is a hot cinnamon variety, that smells like those heart-shaped cinnamon imperials candies enjoyed as a kid. The flavor is cinnamon, too, but it is the smell that hits you first if you're doing the pouring / mixing.

Vodka is meant to be a clear drink and the inclusion of the natural cinnamon flavoring does not affect that appearance. If the smell wasn't so obvious, you would probably think the drink was an ordinary vodka without any infusions. The biggest other difference with the Blazing HEEET vodka is the shape of the bottle, more of a short fat bottle, than a taller, more narrower body.

How to drink the spicy cinnamon vodka brought up at least three ideas: shots, on the rocks, or in a cocktail. Shots were easy and the vodka went down nice and smooth. You feel/taste the cinnamon first as the vodka hits the tongue than the aftertaste is pure vodka. Typically, one drinks vodka with juices like orange or pineapple. I couldn't get past the thought of a cinnamon orange or cinnamon pineapple drink. Instead, I tried it with apple juice. I'm sure pear would do well with it, too. Here, the Blazing HEET mixed well with the apple juice, but it is a very sweet drink. I didn't try but mixed with ginger-ale or perhaps an apple juice / champagne combination sounds like it would make a good drink mixture, too. A cinnamon white Russian is probably a good cocktail combination, too, or even just add it to your spiced apple cider.
If you're a fan of cinnamon and vodka separately, you'll enjoy the combination of flavors that Blazing HEEET Hot Cinnamon Vodka from MerryGo Spirits offers. From a spice perspective, it is not that spicy. It is more of a sweet vodka with the cinnamon flavorings. And, the vodka is only 68 proof. If you're adventurous, give it a try with orange juice. I think you'll like it more mixed in another way, or straight up even. Definitely worth the taste.
