My favorite holiday tradition is decorating the tree and looking at all the old ornaments made by my children and owned by my mother and mother-in-law that I have received over the years.

ReplyDeleteThis year I did not give a Thanksgiving Dinner because my brother and his family wanted to do one instead. I was totally ok with that until last night after we went to his dinner. I guess I didn't realize how much that tradition meant to me until then. When it was over and too late. I love having all the family over together. We hardly ever do that.

ReplyDeleteOne of my past favorite traditions was all of my brothers and their spouses, sisters and their spouses, nieces and nephews all coming into town to spend the holidays at my parents home and we would do a big family holiday photo every year. 4 brother all married, 3 sisters all married, 23 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews all trying to cram together for one photo...All those photos definitely make for a very interesting photo wall in my home.
When my parents were still alive, we used to open 1 present each Christmas eve, then the rest in the morning.
