I hate mowing the lawn and doing yard work. Okay, I like how it looks afterwards, and the fact that I did it myself, but it really messes with the schedule. When I'm done, especially after being in the hot summer sun, I need something to refuel quickly. Our weekend meals are so unstructured. STOUFFER'S® new Fit Kitchen meals are just what I need to refuel, taking less than 10 minutes to prepare and offering up 25g or more of protein.
While I do like to cook, there are times I'm just looking for something quick and easy, when I can't rely on my wife for dinner. I'd love to spend hours making some pulled pork or ribs on the grill, and I have some favorite recipes for that, but when you're in a rush and need something that will really fill you up and refuel your body with a balanced meal, The STOUFFER'S Fit Kitchen meals are a tasty and filling way to refuel your bodily.
Found at Walmart with other frozen entrees, there are six varieties of STOUFFER'S Fit Kitchen available.

  • Steak Fajita
  • Cilantro Lime Chicken
  • Rotisserie Seasoned Turkey
  • Bourbon Steak
  • Oven Roasted Chicken
  • Monterey Chicken

When trying to find, two pointers... they aren't with the regular orange box STOUFFER'S offerings and don't mix them up with what's available from other vendors. The boxes are colored very similar to those found from others.
For me, I grabbed three to try. The Steak Fajita, Bourbon Steak, and Cilantro Lime Chicken.
I prepared the Steak Fajita first, tender prime rib steak in smoked red chile sauce with a mix of red and green peppers and seasoned brown rice. Cooking is a breeze. Just six minutes on high, stir everything together (like above), then another minute in the microwave.
Even if you don't like to cook, these things couldn't be any easier to prepare. I served it on a plate, but this could have easily gone into a wrap if you wanted more carbs (and more calories). The rice, corn, and beans kinda mush together to not show that great in a picture. The peppers add some color and a lot of taste.
At only 370 calories, you get a good mix of calories from fat, carbs, and protein. It is definitely filling. (That should say 1 serving per container there.)

Overall, these are a great offering for a guy to refuel who needs a quick pick me up meal after working out at the gym or around the house. You won't go hungry and will have a complete meal in under ten minutes with that 25+ grams of protein to really fill you up and refuel your body.
