Free Screening: Disney's The Lone Ranger

Movie Poster
Since I stopped working in Boston and the Boston Phoenix shutdown, I've lost my major sources for finding movie screenings. I ran across this one in Entertainment Weekly. If you happen to live in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York City, or Washington, DC, you can get a pass for you and a friend to an advanced screening of The Lone Ranger. The screening is at 7pm on July 1st, supposedly held especially for readers of the magazine. This film is rated PG-13.

Here's a behind the scenes look featuring an interview with The Lone Ranger himself, Armie Hammer:

THE LONE RANGER rides into theaters on July 3rd!

  1. Just a friendly note....check your title for typo. :)

  2. My brother just loves movies like this. I will have to pick up a copy for him when it becomes available.

  3. I was sorry to hear that the movie did so badley at the box office --- it will be out on video soon.

  4. This sounds like a good movie! My boys are into the old western cowboys :)

  5. I saw the movie. The Lone Ranger was had talented actors and a big budget, but while somewhat enjoyable missed the mark of being a great movie.

Disney cut off the Lone Ranger's nads and made him a big wus.

Towards the end of the movie the old classic Lone Ranger theme music is played but seems to be and afterthought and forced in by editors trying to salvage a mediocre movie.

Goodies live and Baddies die, so all is right with the world when you leave.
