PerfectChop Review

The folks over at KitchenAdvance, which brought to you the AquaChef, has another product called PerfectChop. They must have liked my honesty in the review of the first product as they sent me a PerfectChop to review, too. The PerfectChop is a Stay-Clean cutting board, with drains for holding liquids when you cut. It regularly sells for $19.95, or two for $19.95 if you pay second shipping charges.

I put the cutting board to what I considered an ultimate test. Beets. If this thing is Stay-Clean, cutting beets on the board would tell me how well it performs.
I first noticed the wicking natural of the board when I washed it. The water on the board just bubbled up and floated away. After cutting up the first beet, I noticed the board didn't seem as stained as my old cutting board typically was, and I really tried to be messy. The beet stain didn't bubble, but you could actually tell it wasn't such a deep stain.
Before cutting any more beets, I decided to do a quick check and wash the board, or at least rinse it off. After just 30 seconds, the board was perfectly clean and you couldn't tell I had cut a beet on it. No scrubbing, literally just running it under the water. The water wasn't even that hot. And I don't think it was even 30 seconds. Yes, in case you can't tell in the picture, the board was back to white.

Is that all there is to the board? No actually. The cutting board is double sided. So if you need to change from cutting chicken to veggies, just flip over the top and you have a clean surface. And, due to the basin, you're not putting the dirty side of the board down on the counter top. Cutting juicy meats? The basin that the double-sided board sits in holds 2 cups of liquid, and there are drains on all sides to catch it.

I really liked this cutting board. My wife hates when I make beets due to the mess I leave behind. With this board, there was none. It is that simple. The video below demonstrates the features of the product. Look for a giveaway shortly where you can win your own PerfectChop cutting board.
