Buckley joined the Royal Irish Academy to learn harp, clarinet, and piano. While she attended the Association of Irish Musical Societies, she was recognized for her acting skills. Following that, her parents encouraged her to joined Drama School in London. It was just before she auditioned for BBC’s talent competition, I’d Do Anything. It wasn’t until September 2008 that the world heard the voice of Jessie Buckley. She sang a solo song entitled I Don’t Know How To Love Him and Light At The End Of The Tunnel. She performed along with talented Niamh Perry, Rachel Tucker, and Keisha Banson.
