Wontag Luxury Watch on Kickstarter

In the market for a luxury watch, check out the latest design from Wontag on Kickstarter. Their offering one made with high-quality material and craftsmanship without paying for the designer name and the marketing costs that come along with it.

I recently had the chance to discuss the project with its creator Roberto Navarro and here's what he said about the company inspired by Venice, the Italian coastal town from which they borrow a warm spirit and a minimalist mindset.
With luxury watches such a popular project on Kickstarter, I was wondering what his inspiration behind creating yet another. His reasoning...
I sought out to create Wontag Watches because of my passion for watches and desire one day to have my own Watch Brand. Probably happened to you, to get frustrated paying hundreds of dollars for name brand watches, knowing they only cost a fraction of the price to make. I have spent a lot of time days and nights hours preparing for this moment, and finally, I come up with an affordable, stylish looking watch collection that I know everyone will love.
And, why is this better than any other watch on the market?
Because you don’t want to pay for branding, marketing, logos, designer names, etc. You want to pay for high-quality material and craftsmanship. You want the value on your watch. You want a watch reflecting the money you spent on it. So when designing this watch collection, I made sure of THREE details:
1.A minimalist look that could be worn in a casual or professional setting.
2.The highest quality materials.
3.Offering Automatic Movement watches at an affordable price.
The watch specifications call for Seiko automatic movement, a high-quality leather strap, 5 ATM waterproof (water resistant to 50 meters), a stainless steel case, mineral crystal, a see-through back with crystal face, 42mm diameter and 13 mm thickness.
My personal favorite feature of the watch is the slide button to enable you to quickly swap out the watch band for one of the four available.
You do have your choice of four different finishes, blue, black, brown, or silver.
The Super EarlyBird special for the watch is half off, €65 or about $80 USD for the first 100 backers. The campaign has already past the halfway point for this special pricing. Once past the first 100 backers, EarlyBird pricing goes to €95 or about $118 USD for the next 150 backers. Discounted pricing is also available for multiple purchasing. All purchases offer free shipping as a compliment for your support and expected delivery is September.

All Kickstarter campaigns come with risk. Wontag seems to have things under control with prototypes demonstrated on their page and an all or nothing project where if they don't hit their $26,000 funding goal by May 27th, all backers get their pledges back. Having just started this week, they seem well on their way to hitting that goal.
