Stopping Unwanted Junk Mail

Something I should have posted about yesterday for Earth Day but... still as a reminder of the day... Have you ever heard about Catalog Choice? They work to help you stop receiving junk mail, you know, those unwanted catalogs or other real world mailings (not email/spam). There may have been a time where you actually wanted them, or perhaps not, but you don't know how to stop them. Catalog Choice helps you to stop receiving the mailings, even for past occupants of the home. I hate the latter the most as I never signed up for them and the place is clearly using a really old mailing list since we've been in home for so long.

I've been using the site for a long time (at least a decade) and it really works. Basically, when you receive a catalog or mailing, you visit the site and enter the source/vendor. In most cases you just fill out a form on their site and you'll never see the catalog again. Occasionally, they'll direct you to the vendor's site on how to stop the mailings.

Check them out on Facebook and visit their website to be on your way to receiving less mail. Now if only they could get rid of all those bills. too.

Catalog Choice is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
