NatGeo Animal Ark Giveaway and April's Rain Rain Go Away! Hop

Time for another giveaway hop. This time, we're celebrating the rainy days of April. Our giveaway is sponsored by the folks at National Geographic Children's Books. Our giveaway, like all the other stops on the hop, ends on 4/19.
Enter the NatGeo Animal Ark Children's Book Giveaway Ends 4/19
Just in time for National Poetry Month and Earth Day, National Geographic Kids Books is thrilled to debut Animal Ark: Celebrating Our Wild World in Poetry and Pictures (ages 4-8, $15.99) by Newbery Medal-winning author Kwame Alexander with Mary Rand Hess and Deanna Nikaido, featuring photos by National Geographic Fellow and photographer Joel Sartore.

Animal Ark pairs Alexander’s mix of playful and powerful poetry with more than 100 of Sartore’s most compelling images of the world’s species to create a fun-filled read-aloud that highlights the importance of conservation and celebrates the beauty, diversity and fragility of the animal world. Animal Ark is inspired by the National Geographic Photo Ark, a multiyear effort with Sartore and the National Geographic Society to document every species in captivity—inspiring people not just to care, but also to help protect these animals for future generations. This picture book is a fantastic selection for National Poetry Month and contains a message that is perfect for Earth Day (April 22nd), too.

I'll be posting a review of the book once I get my hands on a copy.
As far as the hop goes, there are about a hundred places to stop. Be sure to check out as many places as you can as there are some great prizes out there. The hop is brought to you by The Kids Did It and The Mommy Island.

The giveaway is open to US residents only who are 18+ and ends on 4/19/17 at 11:59 pm EDT. See Giveaway Rules for more specifics on the giveaway rules.

  28. I'm really torn here. After watching the live safari's and learning the lack of freedom in the zoos, this is hard for me. I do love the tigers, but I wish they had the room to run around free.
