Monthly Pepper Box Club Review

In case you haven't figured this out, I like hot sauces. When offered the chance to try out the Monthly Pepper Box, I couldn't pass up on the opportunity. As the name might imply, you sign up to get a box of hot sauces every month. Three to be exact. It costs $24 a single month and comes down to $22 / month for a six month membership, including shipping.
Here's what my first month's box looked like. There are two sauces from Captain AssJack and one from Flamingo Fire. They're considered artisan hot sauces, typically from smaller shops. Sometimes you might get three from one shop or one from three shops. This time it was split 2 to 1, as Captain AssJack only makes two sauces.
I first tried out their Minorcan Ghost sauce from Captain AssJack. It is a citrus-datil-ghost pepper sauce. First, no citrus on pasta. That was a bad choice. The sauce did work out well with the meatballs though. The ghost pepper didn't overpower the sauce, but I like hot and spicy.
I also did a tasting with just some chicken. You don't want to overload the protein with the sauce, but definitely an enjoyable combination.

I'm still waiting to try out the other ones as I probably have about 6 or 7 different bottles of hot sauce open right now.

If you want to join, be sure to sign up at before the 15th to get the next box. Otherwise, you have to wait a month. Great gift idea, though probably not one I'd do for Valentine's Day personally. Get 10% off your order when you use code 10HOLIDAY.
