Andy Rubin is the founder of the company that created the Android operating system that Google purchased to help launch their mobile platform. He has this crazy idea of free dashboard cameras for everyone, in exchange for the data. (Andy Rubin wants to give you a free dashcam, in exchange for the data) If you're not familiar with dashboard cameras, they are a video camera that sits on your car’s dashboard and records what you see in front of the car as soon as the car is in motion.
Imagine real-time traffic reports, literally, from everyone with these cameras. The equivalent of Google StreetView in real time. I know the first thing I would turn off is audio recording but... that's what these dash cams do. And the obvious, tracking of everywhere that you go.
For me, this is an resounding no. What about you? Would you do it for a free dash cam?
