The oven mitts come in singles and sell for $10.97 each ($39.99 list). The $40 list price is ridiculous for one but for $22 for a pair isn't bad. You can get each glove in either red or black. I tried out the black one. The gloves are 14.7" long with soft quilted liner. So, they feel like regular gloves on the inside, but the outside is made of silicone, instead of being quilted. Size-wise, they're a good fit for my large hands. The extra length is nice, so I don't accidentally burn my arm.
The nice thing about silicone gloves is they're naturally high heat, with these going to 464ºF. They also go down to -104ºF, though I rarely have the need at the lower end. Your typical quilted glove might go to 350-400ºF on the high end. The other thing I like about silicone gloves is they're naturally waterproof. I can't count the number of times I've accidentally stuck an oven mitt into something wet. They take some time to dry.
I like the glove and can easily grab whatever I need. The quilting keeps the inside comfortable while the outer silicone shell provides the high heat and waterproofness I need. The extra length is also something I welcome. I'll definitely be using this as my preferred oven mitt.
