Chicken Soup for the Soul: Dreams and Premonitions Review

Our latest Chicken Soup for the Soul book brings us to their Dreams and Premonitions title. It has a subheading of 101 Amazing Stories of Miracles, Divine Intervention, and Insight. The intro is written by Kelly Sullivan Walden, an author as well as a nation TV/Radio dream expert.

The book is broken down into the following sections:
  1. Navigating Life
  2. Messages from Heaven
  3. Facing Fears
  4. Early Warnings
  5. The Next Generation
  6. Waking Up to a New Life Plan
  7. Life Savers
  8. True Love
  9. Personal Transformation
  10. Love Doesn't Die
  11. Miracles Happen
After a bad day, this seemed like the perfect book to sit down with. The 101 stories in this title enlighten and encourage you to listen to your dreams and your own inner voice, and I needed the encouragement.

The stories here talk about the dreams of the various writers and how they responded to them. Many of these dreams were way more vivid then I recall ever dreaming. We're not talking about being in Technicolor, but the detail some writers recollect is amazing. From remembering specific lines that are later repeated by colleagues to remembering how to take care of oneself while dealing with cancer recovery to the color of a sports car when a particular incident happened in the dreams...

It is great reading about how people followed or just responded to their dreams or their instincts or intuition. Something I should probably do more of sometimes. Actually, I'm just happy if I can remember my dreams. Maybe after reading this book, I'll be better able to recollect them.

Of all the Chicken Soup for the Soul books I read, this is another one that falls on the serious side, along with the forgiveness one I reviewed last Christmas (Chicken Soup for the Soul: The Power of Forgiveness Review). I like the title and could definitely learn from the lessons in my dreams.
