Holiday Gift Ideas for Guys Who Are Hard to Shop For

We all have those difficult people to shop for, I'm probably one of them. Here are a few items to consider for that hard to shop for guy. To anyone still looking to get me something...
The Ray Super Remote
Ray Enterprises, the consumer technology company focused on developing the next generation of hardware and software products, is now shipping its debut creation: The Ray Super Remote. Ray is an intuitive, touchscreen universal remote control for the Internet generation.

The Ray Super Remote has custom hardware, powerful software, an easy to-use, 4.8’’ diagonal touch screen and offers users a wide array of content discovery tools such as an easy-to-use search function, recommendations, information on what’s trending and most popular, and TV programming presented in personalized and dynamic content themes.

The Ray remote is exclusively available at for $249.

Sebenza 21 Folding Knife
Give the hard to please man in your life the gift of a custom knife which is far better engineered and designed than those cheap knives available in every sports store and flea market. Spending more on a quality knife gets you a tool that does what a knife is designed to do -- cut, but look great doing it. Its blade will take a keen edge and hold it. It'll stand up to hard use. It won't let you down. The folding knife that has become the yardstick against which others are compared, the Sebenza has earned a worldwide reputation for rock solid performance and a "bank vault" feel. Chris developed the first Sebenza in 1987 and the profile has experienced minor changes over the years. After the entirely handmade version came the Original profile in 1990, the Regular in 1996 and the Classic in 2000.

2008 is the 21st year of the Sebenza and to celebrate, They introduced the Sebenza 21 - an updated version of the classic, that is easier to insert into a pocket or pouch.
From the plain versions or "stonewashed" S35VN blades with sand blasted handles-to those with damascus blades and lavish graphics, each Sebenza is individually fitted to the closest tolerances. Available in large or small, and dedicated right or left handed.

The Sebenza retails for $410 from Knives Ship FreeThis is one item to make sure you do not accidentally leave in a carry on bag or try to take on an airplane.

They do offer less expensive folding knives and they even offer knives for kids, too, if you think they're ready for them.

Fitness trackers don't have to be worn on wrists. MilestonePod, is a small shoe-worn wearable for runners and walkers. It will be available for 30% off the retail price of $24.95 Black Friday-Cyber Monday with code GIFTAPOD. Using a free mobile app, runners are able to track workouts using a combination of metrics like stride length, foot strike, pace, cadence and more. MilestonePod is the perfect stocking stuffer for the outdoor lover or fitness junkie in your life! That's a $17.47 price this weekend.

I guess this one is technically for next Christmas, but I couldn't resist adding as they're taking pre-orders for delivery in August 2016. This is Lily. If you haven't heard of it, the device is a personal drone where you wear a tracker on your wrist like a FitBit and the drone will fly and follow you on its own. No manual driving/flying required. Imagine white water rafting and this following you above. You row and it records all the action. You climb and it records all your actoin. Cool gift, but expensive. Preorder price is $799 with $20 shipping. Regular price is $999.

Jackery Power Bank
This is something I have enough of, but it is a portable battery charger / power bank. If you don't already have one, they're a great item to have handy when you know you're going to be off the grid and need a recharge for your phone. This particular model is the Jackery Giant S. It boasts 12,000 mAh of power, meaning it can recharge your phone multiple times before it drains. I reviewed the Jackery Giant S+ back in August. My biggest complaint then was the slower recharge speed of the device itself. This has been addressed with this model with a 3A fast recharge.
This model is on sale now for Black Friday (through Cyber Monday). Use promo code TZMIHCQJ and you'll be able to pickup for $27.99. Regular price is $34.99. I'm all for more power in the power banks. 12K seems to be a good size where the unit isn't that heavy, it will recharge itself quickly enough, and has enough power to refill your phone with power enough times before the power bank needs a recharge.

Action cameras seem to be all the rage. Cameras in mobile phones have exceeded expectations as far as megapixels go, but can use some improvement if trying to take an action shot, or you just want to strap something onto your helmet and don't want to have to answer it. The ACTIVEON CX Gold Action Camera might just be the solution for you for live action capture.

The CX Gold provides superior image quality by adapting a 16MP pro-grade CMOS sensor and F/2.4 Super Wide Lens, so you can always capture the best video and photos in highest quality with vivid colors. Other key features include: Full HD 1080 60fps, Built in WiFi, Digital Image Stabilization, Quick Rec, etc.

The CX Gold provides you the ability to select the correct FOV (Field of View) to customize it to your situation or preference. The CX Gold’s compact size and light weight design provides a smooth user experience no matter what the situation; easily remove your camera from the waterproof housing for simple usage and charging. You can also fully control your CX Gold camera with the ACTIVEON APP and the built in WiFi; quickly transfer your video from your camera to your smart phone to share on your social media accounts.

Hopefully you find something within these six that might give you some ideas if you choose not to purchase the exact item. For instance, there are plenty of drones to choose from if you want to go that route and get something now versus next year. It all depends on the size you want and how much you're willing to spend. Lily is just one that if it works right, you won't have to worry about crashing so much if you're driving/flying the drone.
