GeekFuel Subscription Review

I received this product for the purpose of this review. All opinions states are my own and may differ from yours.
Do you like those monthly subscription services where you pay a set amount and get a monthly box of goodies for a particular theme? Kinda like the 21st century version of the fruit of the month club. GeekFuel runs one such service full of Geek-y items, including an exclusive t-shirt and other geek-themed items.
My box came with an Avengers themed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) t-shirt, some candy, a coffee mug, a Scribblenauts Unmasked figurine, a Geek Guide mini magazine, and a Kingdom Wars Battles Downloadable Game Code & Sticker Sheet. First off, the candy was my favorite and is long since gone. The two small Avengers boxes above in orange and yellow are a reincarnation of a candy stick from my childhood, candy cigarettes. The new ones taste pretty close to the original, though perhaps maybe not as chalky, but do not have a red tip at the end. The Star Wars Jelly Belly jelly beans offer sparkling flavors but otherwise the only geekiness is the Star Wars character on the bag.
The t-shirt is comfortable and I like. Nobody has asked where I got it yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if that happened as I wear it more in public. It is 90% cotton, 10% polyester.

The mug follows the Avengers theme for the Breakfast Club, with lockers for brain, basket case, athlete, princess, and criminal. Partnering with DC Comics the characters are Loki as the princess, Bruce Banner/Hulk as the Basket Case, Tony Stark/Iron Man as the Brain, Captain America as the Athlete, and Peter Parker/Spiderman as the Criminal.
The little figurine stands about 2-3" tall. I've never heard of Scribblenauts before but he looks cool on my desk at the office.

The $20 game code is for a popular online game called Kingdom Wars Battles. I don't play it so will probably give away.

Random boxes also received a Fandango gift card to go see Avengers: Age of Ultron. We weren't one of them.

As far as costs go... If you get the monthly subscription, the cost is $17.90/month. If you get 3 months, it drops to $16.90/month, 6 months runs $15.90/month and annual is $13.90/month. Add in an additional $6 for shipping for every month, no matter how long the subscription. You get some bonus items if you get the longer subscriptions.

Overall, I liked the box and will consider signing up in the future for a subscription. I like the unique items the box offers that you can't get elsewhere. You definitely get your money's worth out of the box, especially if you like the game code they sent.
