Iditarod Moving to Boston

Boston Snow Forecast
So, it seems the starting community in Alaska for the Iditarod is lacking snow and they need to relocate. So far, in February 2015, Boston has had 59.1". Add in the two feet of snow Boston received in the last week of January, and I think the 83" of snow on the ground would serve as a great starting point.

There's a slight problem with the distance though. The Iditarod is only about 1,100 miles and Boston is over 3,000 miles away. So, let's move the finish line to say Chicago or Winnipeg or some small town in Newfoundland.

Thanks to a Boston snow tracker at Weather.com, just looking at the monthly snow total for Boston, today is the 18th of February. The old record for monthly snow is 43.3" in January 2005. With another ten days to go, we're already over a foot over the old record with forecasts to increase the record even more. The seasonal record is 107.6" and we're at 96.3". We should top that one, too, before end of month.

When will it end...
