Let's step back a little first and talk about what we have here. The product is from Simple Grillin' and the product is a grill mat, or two as the case may be, each measuring 13" x 16". Basically, you place one or both of the mats on the grill and cook on them. Imagine trying to cook asparagus spears on the grill. Now imagine them all falling between the grates, if they don't fall just right. That's where the mat comes into play. Whole fish, shrimp, kebabs, vegetables, anything, even hash browns can be cooked on the mats.
The mats have a non-stick surface (PFTE) and easily wipe clean with warm soapy water. You can even pop them in the dishwasher if you want.
For me, as mentioned above, I used them when I made cookies yesterday. Instead of baking on parchment paper, a greased pan, or a silicone pad, I used the grill mats. At 350° for some Oatmeal Maple Cookies, I think my son and I did a great job baking with the mats, and they were a cinch to clean.
Can't wait to try these on the actual grill when the weather clears up some. Might have to wait for spring though. We'll see.
