  2. My favorite holiday memory is a few years back I was planning a Thanksgiving dinner for my husband and I and my daughter and her family and something told me to make a big meal and I did. Well I was thrilled to death when my son came in with his family and we had such an awesome time that I was able to spend time with my son, my daughter, daughter in law and 4 grandkids. We even put up the Christmas tree together. it was awesome.

  3. My favorite holiday memory is Christmas Eve service. As a child, my grandparents would take me to mass with them and it was the only time I was ever in a church. Now, we are members of a fantastic church. But no matter where we are, Christmas Eve service is a delight!

  4. My favorite holiday memory was when my granddaughter came to spend the holidays with us. She was about three at the time. We were sitting around on Christmas Eve and there was a knock at the door. We went to go see who it was and there was Santa with his toy sack. He came in and my granddaughter sat on his lap. She sat there with her eyes so big and talked to him for a long time. He gave her a special gift and then said he had to be on his way. She was so excited and it makes me smile every time I think about it. She never knew it was her Grandpa dressed up in that Santa suit.

  5. We were pretty poor growing up, but we never knew it. My Mom made every holiday so special for us. She always came up with something new and exciting that didn't cost hardly anything. What a great lady!

  6. There's one memory I have from when I was a kid. I remember my sister and I waking up and walking into the living room and finding these huge E.T. punching bags. I was so excited. The room was stuffed full of toys. My parents were not exactly comfortable financially in the early years, but they always managed to spoil us at Christmas.
