Gorgeous & Gory: The Zombie Pinup Collection Book Review and Giveaway

With Halloween around the corner, I thought it would be fun to review a more Halloween-themed book. With a title like Gorgeous & Gory: The Zombie Pinup Collection Book, I don't think we can get much more Halloweeny, although a Zombie Apocalypse isn't limited to Halloween. With that said, this is more of an adult title by Jessica Rajs than something for kids, but there is no nudity in it.
Enter the Gorgeous & Gory: The Zombie Pinup Collection Book Giveaway. Ends 10/31.
The giveaway below is for the physical book I reviewed. It is gently used but would classify as new if you saw it at a book store. The giveaway runs to Halloween and ends 10/31/14 at 11:59 pm.

If you happen to be in New York City for Comic Con this weekend, there is an author signing for this title. Stop by Booth 2343 Thursday: 3-5pm, Friday: 4-6pm, and Saturday: 12-2pm.
Zombie Walk

Were you in Asbury Park last weekend (10/4/14)? It was their annual Zombie Walk. To help raise funds and pay for permits and the like, the organizers created an annual calendar. They call the calendar Gorgeous and Gory and it includes zombies, zombies, zombies. Sexy ones, full of lots blood and gore. This book is a collection of four years of calendars with extra pictures of each of the pinups.

In addition to four sections of annual calendars, there is a fifth section that includes some backstage shots, with the makeup artists at work. It is amazing what they can do with the makeup here.

My favorite calendar year has to be year three, 2013. The zombies are all mermaids, tail and all. Gore and all, too. You do have to wonder how well the makeup would hold up under water. I doubt it would do well, but it looks great as is.

With just over 200 photos/pages in all, if you like pinups and zombies, the book will not disappoint. If you're looking for ideas for the next Zombie party, do take notes.
Now, back to the giveaway. The giveaway is for the review copy of the book Gorgeous & Gory: The Zombie Pinup Collection Book by Jessica Rajs and is open to Continental US residents only here who are 18+ and  runs through 10/31/14 at 11:59 pm. [Void where prohibited.]
