With Thanksgiving around the corner, I was given the chance to review the title Gollywood, Here I Come! by Terry John Barto. It is the story of a young turkey who dreams of being in the movies. And how her dreams come to a reality.
The book presents a great inspirational story for someone who wants to get into show business. Young Anamazie Marie LaBelle is the book's dreamer. She's a majorette in the school's band where she hones her skills to later perform on Gobbleville's Got Talent. She does a fantastic job at the show but ends up not winning, a common thing in the entertainment business. Low and behold, she's approached after the show to do a screen test for a real acting gig.

Overall, the book present a great positive message of encouragement and what hard work can lead to. Great title. At seven, my son's reading level is above what this book is targeting.  For a first grader, they should do well with reading the book. For anyone younger, mom or dad would need to read to the child.

Want to win a copy for your child? Just enter below. Release date for the book is 11/11, so that will be the ending date of the giveaway at 11:59 pm. Giveaway is open to US residents who are 18+ (void where prohibited). Good luck.
