I learned that the Upper desk - portable cabinet mount is for tablets 4 to 14 inches and can be used in any room of the house where a cabinet or shelf is available for mountings the mounting system does not use any special tools and is not a permanent mount and the mount has a rotating arm that enables you to move to whatever is your convenient reading area. Very nice and would be great for ipad and tablets when following recipes int eh kitchen
