If You Were Me and Lived in... Australia Book Review and Giveaway

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
Do you want your child to learn about the different cultures in the world, besides just in the United States? Author Carole P. Roman created a series of books for just such a purpose. Her latest is on Australia.

The book takes a quick 20-ish page look at the country. It shows where they're on the globe, what the state capital is, and how they say different words. It talks about the sports they play, the food they eat, and even a little bit about the country's history. All with great illustrations and clear text.

The book targets the 3-8 year old child. Reading-level wise, it is too easy for my seven-year old. He can certainly read it and understand it, but it is just words in a big font on one side and pictures on the other page (or both). He's more into graphic novels like Geronimo Stilton. For the younger crowd, it works well as parent reading to child as the pictures will definitely interest them.

I like the series of books from author Roman. She's previously written about places like Russia, Kenya, and Turkey, among several others. They are a great way to teach kids about the many cultures of the world. Great way to introduce them to Australia, especially if you are planning a trip there.

Great job.
