  1. I tend to favor medium oak or a light cherry or mahogany. Around the house I mostly have oak though. Cant afford the others!

  3. My absolute favorite to have around and to work with would be mahogany but it's so hard to get so I'll have to go with cedar.

  6. I love the darker woods. My master bedroom is Mahogany. The older it gets, the darker it looks.

  7. I prefer a dark oak bench that I can sit outside,I'm not old fashioned and I'm not picky.

  10. I like a dark wood, like walnut. I think a lot of ours is maybe stained darker too.

  14. I prefer lighter woods, like maple and birch, when it comes to flooring. It seems to make the house seem brighter and more open. When it comes to furniture, though, i prefer darker woods with richer stains. We have a hope chest that my great grandmother brought over from Germany, and it's very dark but so beautiful. That's probably the one thing we have that reflects my style when it comes to wood =]

  16. We have oak floors throughout the house. I love the look and the ease of cleaning them. Teak is great for outdoor furniture!
