Sammy the Centipede Goes to the Dentist Book Review
Last December, we reviewed our first Sammy the Centipede book, where he went to market and you learned about eating the rainbow. This month, we take a look at our second Sammy book, where he goes to the dentist.

As the name implies, this Sammy the Centipede book talks about oral hygiene and taking a trip to the dentist. The book starts with a brief discussion about the good foods one should eat before jumping into sugar bug land.

The remainder of the book discusses that dreadful trip to the dentist and what to expect when your child is there. From x-ray machines with the special vest to a hygienist and dentist, too. All the information is presented at just the right level for my son to read, and he can't stop talking about sugar bugs. I like having some good non-fiction books around, and not just all the fictional stories.

We also visited the author's web page again, and I'm happy to say there is a Children's Page now, something that I said was lacking from the first go round. Just one coloring page for the first two books, but it is a decent start. Next the author needs a coloring page for this book, too.

As before, the book sells for $14.99 on the author's web page and you can get a 20% discount with code 3F5M63WD, bringing the price down to $12.

Another great job from the author here, presenting the material in a great form for the right audience level. Hopefully, the book will encourage my son to brush better. We'll have to wait and see there. In the meantime, one has to wonder where Sammy is going next.

  1. Where IS Sammy going next? That is the question of the Day! Good job in your presentation for children learning about what a dentist is all about, and what one's child should do on starting that journey of oral hygiene. Hate those sugar bugs! JRL

  2. This is cute and it is a good way for kids to learn about health and to not be scared.
