Thomas & Friends: The Thomas Way Review & Giveaway

I received this product for the purpose of this review. All opinions states are my own and may differ from yours.
Enter to win the Thomas & Friends: The Thomas Way on DVD. Ends 12/17.
We couldn't make it to Christmas without having yet another Thomas & Friends DVD released. This time, the DVD is titled Thomas & Friends: The Thomas Way. It was just released this week (Dec 3) on DVD, Digital HD, and Video on Demand by Lionsgate and HIT Entertainment. It retails for just under $15, but you can certainly find cheaper ways to pickup
Hop aboard for fun on Sodor as the engines find out that there is always something new to learn! While Thomas and Duck learn how to steam ahead together with a special delivery, Luke and Millie find out what it's like to drive in each other’s tracks - literally! Percy steams straight into a lucky encounter with Bill and Ben, Caitlin gets a lesson in how things are done and Paxton works hard to recover Thomas' lost puff. With so much activity on Sodor, it's always important to steam ahead and remember that the best way is the Thomas Way!
The DVD consists of five primary episodes, with a bonus episode and a couple games.
  • The Thomas Way
  • The Switch
  • Percy's Lucky Day
  • Calm Down Caitlin
  • The Lost Puff
The DVD special features, include the following:
  • BONUS EPISODE: Luke's New Friend
  • Lift & Load Crane Game
  • Guess Who? Puzzles
Did you know Thomas is nearly 70 years old, or at least his related books are, first coming out in 1945. The TV episodes started in 1984.

At nearly 7, my son still loves watching Thomas & Friends. He brought this DVD over to grandma and grandpa's to watch during his visit. More typically, Thomas & Friends is for those aged 2-5, not 7, but, he didn't seem to mind the age difference. The first thing my son noticed was one of the episodes had Caitlin in it. Since she was just introduced with King of the Railway, he was happy to see another episode starring the newly introduced engines.

As with nearly all the Thomas episodes, the gang is out to prove how they can be really useful engines. Swapping jobs, hanging out with a deer, and wearing a lucky charm are among the tasks they do. Typical Thomas fare, with nothing too new and different. For the most part, it kept my son occupied for most of our visit.

Enjoy the The Thomas Way coloring sheet, too.

Our giveaway runs through 11/17 at 11:59 pm. It is open to US residents. If we're lucky, the winner might get this in time to put in someone's stocking for Christmas. If not, soon thereafter.
