My Tot Clock Review and Giveaway

I received this product for the purpose of this review. All opinions states are my own and may differ from yours.
Enter to win your own My Tot Clock. #Giveaway ends 11/24.
I was recently given the opportunity to review the My Tot Clock thanks to an opportunity at Tomoson. The clock is what you might call a sleep clock, where the night light in the unit shines different colors based upon the desired current action of your child, stressing the word desired there. For instance, as shown in the above picture, the unit is set to shine yellow at 7 am while it is blue at 8:30 pm. Thus, if a child were to wake up early, s/he can look up at the clock and go back to sleep if still blue without having to actually learn to tell time.
The clock also offers green/red timers to correlate with disciplinary actions. Just setup the timer and off you go with your time out monitor.
Back of My Tot Clock
I found the back of the unit to be most interesting of all. It is a tad busy to say the least. To configure all the different timed colors, there are lots of buttons, and I do mean lots. There is also a cartridge holder on the left edge of the picture, to offer different musical options and you can customize the front faceplate, too, by visiting the MyTotClock.com web site or elsewhere.

I like that the unit is an analog clock whereas many other kid's clocks I've seen are purely digital. The kids won't be able to tell time immediately but you can eventually use the My Tot Clock to help them learn. The customizable music and faceplates are nice add-ons, though personally, I wasn't a fan of the lullabies  I'm sure the little ones will enjoy, I'm just not as sure about the parents. I do like the white noise feature to help drown out any background activities.

Overall, at just under $50, a great clock to help small children sleep better. They recommend it for 2+, which seems like a reasonable age to start. As the child gets older, I'm not sure how much they'll want the night light feature, but it will still serve as a visual reminder for things like timeout.

You have your own chance to win a My Tot Clock for yourself / your child. The giveaway is open to US residents only, 18+, and ends on 11/24/13 at 11:59 pm EST. Good luck.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
