King of the Railway: The Movie is not like the typical Thomas & Friends DVD release which just packages up a handful of episodes. No, instead, you get a new, single storyline, with a royalty theme, introducing a new old engine named Stephen, and some friends Conner, Kaitlyn, and Millie. You can't forget the Earl of Sodor, too. He keeps the engines busy, where lessons are learned, and everyone ends up happy. Expect all new toys that can appear under the Christmas tree at holiday time, if they aren't out already.
In addition to the hour long movie, the DVD includes a trio of music videos and a pair of games. Retailing for $24.98 with the BluRay/DVD combo back or for $19.98 w/ just the DVD, this seemed like a steal that is sure to entertain our son many times over, and he really doesn't watch many DVDs.

My three year old daughter really wants to watch this movie. Maybe a good Christmas gift.
