Java John Z's: GameDay Scoreboards Review @SMGurusNetwork @JavaJohnZ

GameDay Scoreboards
Great gift idea for that driveway basketball player! All for just $29.99 at GameDay Scoreboards.

Do your kids (and friends) play driveway basketball and get into prolonged arguments during the game about possible fouls or what the real score is? Have you ever wanted a referee they could rely on to keep score and decide if there really was a foul, even if just to flip a coin to decide who gets to say they were right? The GameDay Scoreboards offers just that along with a timer and several games to better manage play time.
Attach the scoreboard to the pole with a simple strap and you can get started. After every basket, just push a button based on which side scores and watch the timer time down the game. Run across a possible foul and press a button and let the ref decide which side wins.

Besides the free play usage, there are a some other ways of playing. The free throw contest mode tests the ability of up to four players to shoot free throws within 30 seconds. You can play H-O-R-S-E, P-I-G, or first to 9, 11, 21. Each easy to setup and play, and less arguments all around. There is even back-lighting for when you want to play at night.

Setup of the scoreboard is a breeze. I was concerned the battery-operated device would slide down the pole but it stayed up there pretty well. Just wrap a strap around the pole and you're all set. Pole too big around thanks to some padding? You can get a free extension strap from the company.

Once a game starts, each player presses the 1 or 2 point shot button for their side of the scoreboard after each basket. It is a slight interruption of game play if you're playing seriously/fast. For the younger kids, its less of an interruption and they can press the buttons a few extra times if they find themselves losing by a bit. I generally liked the extra help offered the kids. You can even hear the crowd cheer after a score. Check out the sounds in the video below and read up on the rest of the GameDay game features.
