Barney: Imagine with Barney Review

I received the below mentioned DVD for review purposes from HiT Entertainment and Lionsgate. All opinions are my own, or as otherwise indicated below. Barney: Imagine with Barney is now available on DVD, Digital Download and Video on Demand as of July 9, 2013 from Lionsgate And HIT Entertainment.
Imagine with Barney
Being the dad of a six-year old boy, this disc was too young for my son. With that said, I gave this to a cousin with a three-year old boy and girl to watch and critique.
Purple Dinosaur
First, a description of the program and synopsis...

Come along for an imagination extravaganza! Join Barney and his friends as they use their imaginations to visit places near and far and explore their creativity through drawing, song and dance! Lionsgate/Hit Entertainmenthas generously offered a copy of Imagine with Barney on DVD for a giveaway! It is available as part of the Kids R Kool Mini Giveaway with Tyrneathem that started 7/15 and runs until 7/31.

I'm working on getting longer reviews from my cousin now that they got a second DVD... Basically, the kids loved the songs, especially the bonus music videos. The big purple guy was enjoyed by the kids, even if mom might be sick of him by now. He kept them entertained enough for mom to get things done around the house. Good positive messages.

  1. I remember the days when I was ready to go crazy my son watched Barney so much. I can see what the attraction is for the little ones, but I am sure glad those days are over for me! LOL!

  4. Oh I love Barney! He was once the babysitter to my eldest! Barney DVDs had been a great help keeping her still and letting my do the house chores!

  5. I know my grandson would love this. His Dad used to watch Barney for hours and I was able to make dinner and clean the house knowing he would sit in front of the TV for as long as Barney was on.

  6. Oh, I remember when my daughter used to be so crazy about him! We had purple Barney's everywhere. After awhile though, that song got on my nerves and was so glad when something else took it's place!
