RoboForm Mobile Review and RoboForm Everywhere Giveaway

Back in December, I did a review of RoboForm where I highlighted all the features of the desktop app. At the time, I hadn't played with their mobile version. Since then, I've been playing with RoboForm on my Android phone.
RoboForm: Learn more...
I've been using RoboForm on my mobile for a couple months now and I have to say I really like it and wish I installed it sooner. My favorite part of using RoboForm on my phone is I don't have to type in passwords. If you use good passwords, you mix uppercase, lowercase, and symbols into your passwords. These are a pain to type on the phone. You still have to type in your RoboForm password, but the tool will fill in the password for the site you are visiting for you. And, you have all the sites whose passwords were kept saved off as a set of bookmarks, too.

Keep in mind that RoboForm will synchronize your desktop passwords with your mobile system. With that said, one thing that surprised me about using RoboForm on my phone was I tended to weed out dead sites on my phone that I would never have removed on the desktop. You're picking from a smaller set of sites on the screen, so you're more inclined to remove something if you see it and know its dead. Whereas on the desktop, your whole screen might be full of sites so you might not notice a dead one as easily. After using the tool for many years, I have plenty of dead sites with passwords saved.

My biggest complaint about the tool is it isn't integrated into your regular browser. It launches its own. Having said that, I literally just discovered there is a RoboForm Addon for Dolphin. I'll be looking into swapping browsers in the not too distant future, and installing the addon. That will greatly improve the user experience. I can't wait to try that.

In the end, RoboForm lives up to its purpose of remembering your passwords for you. Without being integrated into the browser, you can't take advantage of its Autofill feature, but I'll have to give that a try once I change over to Dolphin. Its a great tool to help you be more secure on the phone. Do make sure that you enable a PIN or other means of locking the phone, too. As your RoboForm password is now what is keeping a lost phone from someone accessing your world.

And now for the giveaway. We have five full licenses for RoboForm Everywhere to go around. My last post caught their eye so they've offered the prizes for my readers, and extended my license for a year. Winners are not limited to US only. Giveaway ends at the end of the month 3/31/13 @ 11:59 pm. Good Luck. There will be five separate winners, not one winner getting five licenses.
